Tir Na Nog

The mist that had taken over my mind slowly started disipating. The sparce sunrays that were able to travel through the maze of leaves landed gently on my face, waking me up from what I can only describe as unfinished slumber. As I pushed myself up and my eyes gradually adapted to the bright surroundings, I understood I had arrived at Tir Na Nog. Surrounded by abundance of health, youth, joy and creativity, my body started moving on its own, addapting to this new enviroment, realizing I had found a safe space. The Antwerp Fashion Festival is a 4 day long event created by the city of Antwerp to promote current emerging generation of creatives as well as showcase more established brands from all over Belgium. Shows, talks, events, exhibitions will be popping up a bit everywhere around the city, out of which I will have a show and exhibition. Tir Na Nog will be my first show and biggest project yet, together with my team, the Ercola collective and friends we have worked on it for close to 3 months now. Tir Na Nog, reffering to The Land of The Youth in Irish mythology, is a bit how we feel about Ercola, a space for the creative mind, everlasting ever so transforming with each new generation that find refuge inside the walls of this historical building.

Tir Na Nog is one of the many Otherwerolds in Irish mythology. Those who reside in the Otherworld of Tir Na Nog do not age and are blessed an abundance of food, joy, dancing and health among others. Many stories depict Tir Na Nog as a realm where adventurers end up during their travelling. In the same ways as Ercola does for creatives who find a refuge for their ideas inside the walls of this historical building.

In the evening of 5th of June 2026, Tir Na Nog will finally take place in the beautiful garden of Ercola
