For the creation of this top we made use of Italian vachetta veg-tan leather leftovers from the atelier: leather edges can not be used for traditional bag making due to their wavy, irregular character, but are still a precious and luxurious material. We create a new surface by arranging and sewing them in rows onto a pigskin support. As a result, every top in this technique is unique, with each selection of edges forming a slightly different pattern.
The top is closed behind the back with two belts made from high-end bull leather, tanned in Belgium from skins sourced from France, Germany, Spain and Italy. A soft, cross-shoulder strap holds the piece in place and prevents it from slipping down.
